Hi,
I have a simple light controller developed using openPLC. I want to simulate its slave devices.

Light controller :
It has OpenPLC runing on the pc, and an ESP8266 module connected to it as a Modbus slave. ESP8266 has an LED and a photoresistor. The PLC program running on openPLC turn on/off the LED based on the photoresistor data.

I can record the values produced by the LED and the photoresistor during the runtime by using a Modbus client program.
I want to know whether it is possible play back these recorded values, in such a manner that it can be read and use by the openPLC, so that I can use the openPLC server later without the actual slave hardware.

So far it seems to me as I have to use something like Simulink for simulating the slaves. Is there any other way to achieve this kind of thing?

Any Modbus slave device simulator will work with OpenPLC. One example is this one:  https://sourceforge.net/projects/modrssim/

Oh, I see. Thank you.

Also, the project has been very useful, thank you for that too.
