OK I thing we have a winner. Two actually. High switching and low switching output module. Lets look for correcting (if any) mistakes and board must go for making PCB and production.
Nice to see if we can transfer accurately the work to Kicad also so to be more open in the future.
@HKTarzan about the relay card. I thing reed relays is the answer. Three are cheep (not as normal relays) very fast and have reduced space.
Just making a survey found this in SIP-1A05 Reed Switch Relay on ebay.
I also open a HITACH BRICK PLC to see inside. They are using a Fujitsu relay
SIP-1A05 dimensions attached also.
I thing reed relay may be the answer. Of course has lower amps capability but that may not be our problem. The come with lower dimensions
I am keep looking...

To @thiagoralves.. I think we must have only one topic for each module.
like INPUT MODULE, OUTPUT MODULE, ANALOG MODULE ..etc if we need subcategories for each of these categories we must make inside the module otherwise we will "lost in translation".
Do you find this correct ? if Yes can somebody fix that now?
I see now 2 subcategories for OUTPUT card and I thing this is confusing. Too much info at this time of discussion.
Subcategories was a nice idea to implement on that discussion.

Here i differ in opinion. I intended this more or less as a forum
for information about specific modules to get the information
into one place. Nothing does hinder us to also open threads with
more general discussions. I see this more focused so that if
somebody has started some module or wishes for a module he or she
can open thread where that module can be discussed.

@LeissKG I was thinking all threads concerning digital OUTPUT to be under DIGITAL OUTPUT category, threads concerning digital INPUT to be under DIGITAL INPUT category and so on. I thought it will be more hierarchical structure and could be easier to follow. I am thinking more as a person that did some work in structuring data in a database.
Of course threads are "free" as you like do things and most of the time are very chaotic. Here we are a group of people and could make some "rules" that can follow to make our lives easier.

OK I can survive with it. Follow the forum rules I mean

i think the following solution is better. VNI4140. is IEC61131-2 compliant, also ESD 61000, shortcut protection, thermal protection, etc!.
this is a handmade circuit. I connect together the open collector senses to produce only one error signal at any port, but each output can be shutdown separately in case of short. etc.
I already post this but has no more comments.

This is nice. Try reaching out to rs27 here: https://openplc.discussion.community/post/modular-hardware-concept-10349975?pid=1310072403 . He is trying to create a modular hardware compatible with OpenPLC, pretty much like the OpenPLC-NEO project. Depending on how it goes, we are probably merging both projects together since most folks here disappeared.
