I've being using OpenPLC in my classes (I'm a professor) and it's wonderful! Congrats!

During my studies of the platform I've tried to use it with SCADABR only in simulated environment.
After I've done the SCADABR installation, my OpenPLC stopped working properly. Does anyone had I similar issue before?

Here are the screenshots.

It is hard to know what has happened, especially since ScadaBR has nothing to do with the editor. Is there anything in special you do that causes the hangs on the editor?

I understand 🙁

It happens when I click the "Start PLC Simulation".

In this case it is possible that your program might have some error that is locking up the compiler in an infinite loop. Try with a new program, or even better try with the hello world program available in the website

I downloaded the Hello World program and got the same issue 🙁
Probably I will have to reset my PC to make it work again, right?! 🙁

Thanks for your help, Thiago! Great job with this software!

I tried to launch the runtime OpenPLC to see if it could give a hint of what was happening and I got a "socket already in use" error. I don`t know if it can help you to understand my problem 🙁

I've never faced this specific issue before. The only hangs I've seen were related to bad programs that put the compiler in loop. However it seems from your screenshot that it is hanging when it tries to connect to Beremiz service. Try killing beremiz service on Windows Task Manager and reboot your PC. Then check again to see if it works.

Thank you! I solved looking in google the term "beremiz service kill" and after finding this post here -> https://openplc.discussion.community/post/plc-editor-run-simulation-error-10285119

I've opened the "Services" window in Windows Settings, stopped the "ScadaBR 1.0 - Apache Tomcat" Service and then changed its "Startup Type" from "Automatic" to "Manual".
