What is the step-by-step procedure to setup SCADA? After I am done making my schematic for my system.

Kind Regards,

You need to have a SCADA software to start with. OpenPLC is compatible with Modbus/TCP, which most SCADA software support. OpenPLC works really well with ScadaBR, an open source SCADA software developed by another company. Follow the instructions on this post to install ScadaBR on Windows machines: https://openplc.discussion.community/post/big-update-with-new-cool-features-8173271?pid=1292945147

ScadaBR is pretty much self explanatory. After installing it, open your browser and type localhost:8085/ScadaBR. It will open on a login screen. Log in with user "admin" and password "admin". You will need to insert your Data Source, that is your machine running OpenPLC. Just click on Data sources on the top menu, select Modbus IP and click on the add icon. Fill up the name you want for your data source, select "TCP with keep alive" on the transport type and insert your OpenPLC IP address on the Host field. Click on the blue floppy disk to save and click on Read Data button to test the communication with OpenPLC. If you're able to receive data from OpenPLC then your configuration is working. You can proceed by adding the data points you want by clicking on the add icon in the Points window. Each point corresponds to a variable in your OpenPLC program (you can check the address here: http://www.openplcproject.com/scada). ScadaBR will be constantly pulling data from your program and store that in a database.

After you finish adding all your points, save everything and go to Graphical Views on the top bar menu. In there you can create your graphical HMIs for your program. Just click on the add icon for the object you want to use and associate it with the point you want.

Nope. The data is stored on a database that can only be erased if you promptly ask it to
