Which Linux system are you trying to connect to? I guess what you need is a basic understanding of what a PLC is. Check the REFERENCE menu on the OpenPLC website for some introduction to PLC and ladder logic programming.

Thanks so much for your reply,
I want to make a system ,which will run on the debian system and connect with other sysem by TCP.
and I hope to edit the logic using the OpenPLC on the Windows system. I will check the REFERNCE menu on the website firstly.

Your idea is still very vague. In any case, if you just run OpenPLC Runtime on your Debian system, you’re done. OpenPLC can talk Modbus, DNP3 and EtherNet/IP, all three over TCP.

Does only  these 3 ways to connet with other system ?
there are still database process and private communication·protocol in this debian system.
I hope these process can share the variable . for example the database can record all the data in the system . and then We can download  it  as the maintance requirement.

That’s not how a PLC works. To interface with a PLC you need to use a SCADA protocol. Of all SCADA protocols available OpenPLC supports these 3 which are the most popular (and license-free).

As I said before, I feel that you need to understand better what a PLC is. Perhaps for what you need to accomplish, a PLC might not be the device for you.

I had seen a system , which is similar with my descript function. but it is base the ISaGRAF. and I had check the ISaGRAF is also used as the soft plc. So I think this OpenPLC can do the same job.
I will stuy more. thanks so much for your suggestion. 微信图片_20200602110559.png
