Hi

I have started the openplc runtime. But I am unable to access localhost:8080 on web browser. I have tried 127.0.0.1:8080 and it is not working too

How I installed

  1. Run the windows openplc installer
  2. Manual download Cygwin as openplc installer mentions cygwin is not installed. Please restart openplc installer
  3. Run openplc runtime -> but there is an error which says ./ start_openplc.sh  no such file or directory
  4. Run rebase openplc.
  5. Successfully run open plc runtime

From the picture it looks like the runtime was started well and then was closed. Did you press ctrl+c after running the runtime? This would make the webserver quit

So that's the problem. You should not press ctrl + c, otherwise it will quit (terminate, stop, exit, finish) the application. For you to be able to use the runtime, the window must be open and the application must be running.

I meant I did access the web while the open plc run time is running.

This is weird. If the webserver says it is running with no errors you should be able to see it on the browser at localhost:8080. Have you tried it in Chrome or Firefox? Edge and internet explorer are sometimes sketchy with localhost.

If it is still not working, try the manual runtime install as mentioned on the troubleshooting section at the website. Just before you type the commands on Cygwin terminal, remove OpenPLC folder first to make sure it will be a clean install:

rm -Rf OpenPLC_v3
git clone .... (as per instructions)
