Hi

I would like to consider using DNP3 instead of Modbus for a communications protocol with OpenPLC.

I am reasonably familiar with Modbus commands and have succeeded to do everything I need with Modbus<>OpenPLC.

Could you recommend some resources that I could read that would help me figure out how to convert from Modbus to DNP3 ?

I would strongly recommend against that. DNP3 on OpenPLC is still very experimental and lack some important functions. You will get a much smoother experience using Modbus. But, in any case, if you want to learn about DNP3, a good resource is here: https://na.eventscloud.com/file_uploads/ea71f859feae020526fd797b0195b9eb_SCADAforRelayTechs-SlidesNotes-HRS2019.pdf

I'm also attaching a PDF presentation that is very informative.

Thanks for the info and recommendation; I'll read up about it. When I've finished my Project I'll be happy to test anything you like DNP3 wise on my Test Board.
