Hello.

According to information on "Modbus adress maping", OpenPLC runtime provides variables in MW, MD and ML memory space, which are not binary. Do variables of binary data in memory space exists (MX)? If so, what are their adresses?

I asked, because right now I have to use physical I/Os (IX and QX) that doesn't even physically exist (for instance, adresses starting from 50.0), but I prefer to keep them tidy and organised, and to avoid conversion of data types.

Hi Erebus, you're right. For now the only way to use binary memory is to address a non-existent physical location in QX or IX. I need to update the address space to include MX regions. This is on my to-do list, but first I'm planning to create an auto-update tool so that new features can be pushed to OpenPLC installations automatically.

Cool. Do you have your to-do / wish list posted somewhere, where we can contribute to? I have some ideas to post, but don't want to off-top here.

I don't... I should post it right? I think I will create a forum category to be the project's To-Dos. How about that?
